ET the blind chicky is still going strong!🥰. A little fighter to say the least! Will need constant assistance with food and water daily for a while but Et is figuring things out. I took a chance on buying this little chick and no matter the outcome I have zero regrets! Little tiny feathers starting to make an appearance too!!

Meet ET!! Our blind americana chick! As you can clearly see he has very large bulging eyes, hence the name ET. Aside from being blind, ET is full of energy and very vocal. Only time will tell if this little will survive but so far so good.

I’m the farm mama that won’t give up unless I have tried everything for our animals … this little chick is named “ET” and sadly is blind!
I learned that using tapping noise will make him want to peck for food and it worked!! So far ET is very energetic and very vocal so as long as ET fights so will I ! Video is of ET eating for the first time! Listen close and you can hear our youngest say “aww I’m so proud of him”.

Long wet day but I got a few things planted, picked the first strawberries of the season, made garlic herb goat cheese, 6 sticks of butter, whey lemonade and 3 dozen whey cinnamon raisin muffins. This farm mama is ready for bed!

Our youngest daughter, Rose, is trying her hand at churning butter today.

This was not the ideal birthing location but this mama went down fast and there was zero time to move her. So so grateful we got to her in time.

Went down to the barn and heard a horrible scream from one of our girls.. she had a baby stuck.. I was able to help get the baby out and mama is to say the least very proud.
