Greetings from Marietta, South Carolina. I hope you are doing well and this glorious fall is ushering you into the season of gratitude.

For me, the fall season is a reprieve from the scorching heat and the long days. But the changes in season also bring a lot of preparation for fall vegetables and spring flowers, before the farm is put to rest.

Little did I know what would happen when I quit my corporate job in April of 2025 and followed what God was leading me to do.
It wasn’t just a desire to, but a huge leap of faith.

I was crippled with anxiety when market season ended last year, and somehow and in some way God provided for our needs. A wedding booked, a part-time job, a sold-out workshop, an unexpected check: I was starting to see God provide in unexpected ways.

As we headed into 2026, we had a list of farm needs.

Little did I know, God was working those out. When the transmission of my car went, He led us to the transit van. When an Innovation Grant was presented, we were awarded the full amount to fund the project. And the same with two other grants.

When you’re following His way, He makes a way.

And when our farm was hit by thieves, I could barely say anything except, “I have no idea how.”

I had no idea how we would recover from this, no idea how God would work it out, no idea if our equipment would be returned, no idea if we were meant to continue to farm.

But our community shared our story and prayed fervently for us. Meals came to my home, and even helpers came to help clean our already disastrous home. Some generously gave financially towards tools and cameras. And the employees kept us on track for markets, and customers showed up.

And then something else incredible happened!

We were able to recover a whopping 85% of the equipment. We have been working with the Greenville County and Henderson County Sheriff’s Offices, and they have both stated that this kind of recovery is rare.

So for that, I wanted to give the praise to God and share the news with you.

And to say, “Thank you so much for your love and support.”

With each challenge, we continue to learn and adapt, and I am grateful for you walking this path with us.

People have been asking what was stolen, I’d thought I’d like to share some photos.

But before I do that, this isn’t stuff we’re upset about, they’re tools we’re building something with, have memories using with our children, and helps our aging bodies get the work done to feed the community.

I will also say this, it will be okay.

I pray that what satan uses for evil, God will use it for good.

As long as we follow what God has for us, even if it’s painful at times, it is all worth it.

Okay, first up: Grillo tractor with flail mower implement (berta)

Secondly: the axel extensions for the grillo

My husbands beloved Jang seeder with all the rollers. Because seeds come in different sizes.

What looks like a pitch fork, is a broad fork. And granddad is getting a good workout that day.

The cultivation equipment, paid by SC Acre Grant.

Another great implement for the grillo, a tiller.

My sons shop vac and makita batteries. Not pictured are all the other makita power tools we use on a regular basis.

And we saved the most painful for last. Our new cultivation walking tractor that we're making payments on. That connects to the cultivation tool bar shown before.

People ask me how they can help, the answer is simple. Just keep showing up! We wouldn't be here without very happy customers who keep coming back. We love what we do and we love sharing it with you!

Congratulations to Laura & Chris! 🤍

Saturday was a gorgeous mountain wedding just west of Asheville, NC.

After a year of planning, we grew quite a few of the flowers ourselves — dahlias, zinnias, celosia, white dill, and cosmos.

We also sourced from incredible local farmers: Melissa Smith Mary Ann, flower grower Ashley

And for the rest: Mayesh Charlotte

No floral foam was used in these arrangements — just chicken wire and reusable mechanics, better for the planet and just as gorgeous. 🌎

Warning: Rant post ahead.

On the gram, I try and show up positive and encouraging. We've had a lot of hard times between 2 major floods, 3 brain surgeries, Helene, and so on.

Most people have been good to us and supportive.

After working 20 hours yesterday and trying to nap today, I got a message that our farm had been robbed.

Our front gate had been removed from the hinges.

Two of our tractors had been taken, implements, power tools, jang seeder and rollers, other odds and ends, and broke our jack trying to get the wheels off our market trailer.

I have no idea where this leaves us. Some of this was purchased with grant money. Some of it we were making payments on.

I didn't quit my corporate job because the farm was raking in money.

I quit my corporate job because I prayed for years about timing and desire to be closer to my family and help my husband.

To feed people good food, to spread beauty in people's lives, to share that with my neighbors, my friends, my community.

My job is hard, which I don't mind. I just want our equipment back.

Let’s talk tulips! Today I want to highlight our tulip selection — you can find them all on our website.

A quick note for our southern growers: many fancy tulip varieties don’t perform well in the South. They simply don’t get enough cold hours to thrive.

That’s why these tulips arrive partially pre-cooled. You have two options:

1. Plant them outside now, and they’ll receive the rest of their chilling naturally this winter

2. Force them by mimicking winter artificially

To force them: plant in a pot or container, water well, then place in a cooler or refrigerator at 33–35°F.
