It's crazy how every student I have starts as a complete stranger that trusted me to help them or their kid improve or learn how to ride. They keep coming back week after week and before long they turn into family.

We share wins, we share losses, we share disappointments and we share all the challenges and hard work it takes to get them where they wanna be. The way horses bring so many different people together from different walks of life is so incredible.

I am so grateful for the amazing people this business has introduced to me💙

Rainy mornings can sometimes be slow at the barn but I do enjoy getting to slow down and enjoy the small stuff like sitting in a stall while they’re laying down and giving them scratches. 🌧️

When it’s nice out I’m running around all day in 100 different directions and don’t have time to stop and do stuff like this. I just focus on lessons and getting everyone worked, but a couple minutes like this does more then an hour training session sometimes for them, and for me.💙

I really try to post the good and the bad because I often feel like social media is just a highlight reel of successes. While I love seeing everyone post their best days and successes, it’s not realistic to never have off days or bad runs.

I was so frustrated with my first barrel in the slot race. It wasn’t what I wanted or expected at all, especially after we had hooked every 1st barrel the weekend before. But after taking a step back and looking at the whole run my 2nd barrel was flawless, which has been a REALLLL STRUGGLE for us! This was also his first real run to the left, and during his riding sessions last week I really worked hard on perfecting that 2nd… which he technically did🤣

The horse world has a way of keeping you humble. Some days you don’t get the result you were hoping for, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t progress. Sometimes the biggest wins are the little things that most people never notice. You just gotta learn to celebrate the small victories and build off them to climb to the bigger victories 💪🏻💙
