Getting ready for farmers markets in the spring. This is a white fig variety that I propagated from a backyard heirloom in Forrest City, NC. It might not look like much now, but the tree propagated these things from was evidently impossible to kill. The previous owner Cut the tree down and built a shed on top of it, only to have the tree start growing out of the side of the house, doing very well in a heavy shade. They haven't gotten much sunlight so the leaves haven't really popped yet, but the roots were extremely vigorous.

Shane; I thought you would enjoy this one… A little pomegranate sprout coming from just one node on a tiny little cutting… I had heard that burying cuttings to sprout them worked well with figs, I've been pleasantly surprised at how well it works for pomegranates as well. This cutting wasn't even 1/8 inch thick.
