๐Ÿฅœ๐Ÿ‡ PB&J Drive Kicks Off This June! ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฅœ
The Virginia Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Committee is once again encouraging counties across the Commonwealth to participate in the annual PB&J Drive!
Peanut butter and jelly are nutritious, kid-friendly staples that help support local food banks, food pantries, summer feeding programs, and families in need throughout the summer months.
Did you know? ๐ŸŒฑ About 29,000 acres of peanuts are planted in Virginia each year. ๐Ÿฅœ One acre can yield approximately 4,830 pounds of peanuts. ๐Ÿ“ Virginia's top peanut-producing counties include Sussex, Southampton, Greensville, Isle of Wight, and Suffolk.
Drop off your donations at the Smyth County Farm Bureau Office located at 354 S. Main St. Marion, VA.
Join us in helping make a difference in our communities by donating peanut butter and jelly throughout the month of June. Every jar helps provide meals and smiles to local families!

The MSSs from Smyth County, along with MSSs, CAAs, and AAs from 87 other counties across Virginia, attended the 2026 Virginia Farm Bureau Administrative Support Conference in Richmond from May 20โ€“22.
Over the three-day conference, we participated in a variety of informative workshops, celebrated achievements at two awards banquets, and enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from across the state. Between sessions, we also explored the city of Richmond and made lasting memories along the way.
Thank you to Virginia Farm Bureau for hosting such a valuable event focused on professional development, networking, and recognizing the hard work of administrative support staff. We returned with new ideas, renewed connections, and a greater appreciation for the important role we play in serving our members and communities.
