We are a small family owned farm in Marion county, Ohio we raise vegetables, free range laying chickens, eggs, honey & maple syrup. We produce a fine line of value added pantry-fare products of jams & jellies, herb dips, rubs & seasonings, fresh ground oat & wheat flour, soup mixes, popco

rn and a line of "Reflections by CAR" stationary cards. We are an all natural farm we use no chemicals, or pesticides, no GMO's and no antibiotics or hormones. Carousel Watergardens Farm is an Ohio Proud farm.

We will have our Carousel Watergardens Farm market this Saturday June 13th, from 9am- 12pm in the parking lot of the Glenwood United Methodist Church at 2833 Valleyview Dr. Columbus, Ohio.

We will have our vegetable plants, ie. tomato, cucumber, zucchini, and yellow squash as well as hot and sweet pepper plants and some perennials, colorful Tiger Lillies, and annuals. We will also have our pantry-fare of honey, and honeycomb, jams & jellies, pasta sauces, BBQ sauces and soup mixes and garlic scapes. Don’t forget to pick up your farm fresh CSA eggs and ground beef. We will be discontinuing our herb dips and rubs this year so stock up on what we have left.

See you this Saturday at the market!

All the mums are potted and set in place on the new mum pad. We had to add quite a few spider drips for irrigation since our numbers have increased. Its a good feeling to have them done and what a hot, hot job it was this week.

Now we can get back to getting the irrigation hooked up in the fields and back to planting produce.

They still will not let me post my photos on here. My pics are deemed inappropriate. I guess our troll is back and turning us in to FB for my photos. Interesting when they pop up over the years. I can only think it must be just awful to be that hateful.

We have the ground worked and plastic and drip in but the mum plugs came in so a short break from planting produce. We are potting the mums and getting them on the mum pads to start growing.
Hope to be back in the fields by the end of the week.

Due to the high intensity storms and winds in Saturdays forecast we will not hold our farm market day Saturday June 6th.
Sorry for any inconvenience however we will be back the following Saturday June 13th.

Finally able to turn ground yesterday and today. Hope to get some plastic laid Thursday then get some field tomatoes in and pole beans and bush beans. We have a short window to get it done before rain moves in Saturday and Sunday.

Our mum plugs are in so we will try to get them potted over the next couple days in between working the fields. We worked on more spider drips for our mum irrigation. We are changing things around with the mum set up. We built a new area with six foot chainlink fence to keep the deer and rabbits out (hopefully) along with some other deterrents. They made a mess out of some of our mums last year, they seem to be partial to the yellow mums for those were the ones they ate up. We'll see how it works out.

We had the same problem with our pole and bush beans last year the deer really massacred them so they will be grown in the new high tunnel that isn't covered in plastic yet. We have wire fencing up the sides and we will close off each end of the high tunnel to keep them out. According to the neighbors, who love to watch them, the herd has grown to over 18 now. ODNR is after us for feeding the deer they told us we need to get rid of our compost pile and produce. We told them keep their deer off our property they do not have a dinner invitation and we won't have a problem. We never had this much trouble with deer until city folk moved in around us and think it is cool to entice them so they can watch. They are certainly costing us a fortune to prevent their destruction.

Our farm market is this Saturday, June 6th and the forecast is rain again. This is getting old already. We'll be set up in the parking lot of the Glenwood United Methodist Church at 2833 Valleyview Drive, Columbus, Ohio from 9am-12pm. I'll put a post on Friday about our farm market.

This Saturday May 30th, 2026, from 9am-12pm is Carousel Watergardens Farm market day. We will be in the parking lot of the Glenwood United Methodist Church at 2833 Valleyview Drive, Columbus, Ohio.

It is supposed to be a nice day according to the weatherman thank goodness.

Just a heads up --- We do not get messages through Facebook and haven’t for many years, it tells me we have them but it has rarely allowed me to see them let alone answer them. If you have questions either call us (the preferred method) or email us (not as likely to get a quick response). We are farmers and often times do not have time to write because our hands are in the dirt, cleaning barns or any number of farm things that are not conducive to sitting down at the computer and writing right away. We do have an answering machine and when we come in from the fields and greenhouses, we check messages and return calls. So, leave a message with your tele number and area code.

Also I apologize for the lack of photos FB has banned my photos (an ongoing problem with this deplorable unsocial media site). I am tired of playing their games and will no longer attempt to post my pics and get their rejection.

Hello folks,

It’s spring and time for Carousel Watergardens Farm market days. Just a heads up we will start our spring market Saturday May 9, 2026 from 9am-12pm we will be in the parking lot of the Glenwood United Methodist Church at 2833 Valleyview Drive, Columbus, Ohio.

We will have our beautiful hanging baskets for Mother’s Day as well as our vegetable plants and some perennials. We will also have our pantry-fare of honey, and honey comb, jams & jellies, Pasta Sauces and BBQ sauces and soup mixes. We will be discontinuing our herb dips and rubs this year so stock up on what we have left.

It has been a very slim winter, and we shut the greenhouses down for the winter therefore there will be no produce until possibly late May to mid-June at the latest. With no income coming in this winter, we have been working on a very slim budget so there will be very limited variety on product this year as we could only afford a limited amount of seed for this season.

The church we set up at has merged with a couple other churches and we just received word this week that we would be able to continue setting up there. Although they no longer will hold church services at this church, they will still do their community outreach and continue their pre-school at this location.

We look forward to seeing everyone again and hope we have great weather but the long-range calls for rain next Saturday let's hope this is one of those “weatherman is wrong predictions”. See you Saturday May 9th.
