I know Marion needs growth. I know we need new opportunities and investment. But I really hope we don’t lose sight of what we already have here.

This 800 acre data center would sit right beside Abner Orchard, the Humane Society and the Cardinal Greenway, with the Little League fields just a block away. Those aren’t just names on a map. They’re places where people spend time, where kids play, where families go, and where our community gets to enjoy a little bit of green space.

I’ve put a lot of heart into Abner Orchard, and I know I’m not the only one who cares deeply about these places.

I’m not against progress. I just believe we can do better than putting something this destructive and massive in the middle of some of the places that make Marion feel like home.
