Hi there folks this is Brian with a quick update. We are in a strangely long in between crops space Here at the farm. Strawberries have finished for the year and blueberries took a much bigger hit in the last freeze then we realized and there are only going to be a very very few of them for a short period of time. Because of the drought in the cold nights they are not ripening up at this time. There are no cherries to pick at the orchard for the same reason. I have just been told that my telephone message is not working so I will be fixing that shortly. I'm sorry about the big delay believe me if I could be open I would.

Well guys this is a little sudden I know but here is the picture we started with and now I'm sorry to say it is over. I don't think you could find two quarts of strawberries in this patch now and so I'm going to have to say it's over. Thank all of you so much for coming out and dealing with the weather and schedule changes and all of our little problems. Also I really want to thank my wife Georgia and all of you guys that worked here selling this year and my neighbors, cousins, in-laws and everybody else that helped cover and plant and everything else. This strawberry patch in particular was a big labor of love from everybody.

Blueberries should be starting up in about a week... Perhaps 10 days ... And we will head on down there and I hope to see you guys there.

Hi there folks Brian here. We are going to close down the strawberry patch for Monday June 1st. I believe we will be opening the patch back up on Tuesday but I'm going to need to see how things look Monday afternoon. Thanks very much.

Howdy folks! We are going to be open Sunday May 31st from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for probably the last weekend day of our strawberry season. Although this very patch has been through a lot with first a drought and then a deluge, we still do have a fair number a very nice berries to pick. Just so expectations are realistic, there are also a lot of berries that look fine but are either soft or bad when you pick them and turn them over. This is why we have lowered the price to $4.99 a pound. Anyway ... Come on by and get some sweet berries, stop by Naked Mountain Winery and Hollin Farms, and have a wonderful day!

Hello there folks! The strawberries have come back in a big way! Starting May 29th, Friday, we plan to be open from 9:00 until 2:00 with pick your own strawberries for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Berries are $4.99 a pound and containers are provided. We accept cash checks and all major credit cards. If your plan is to come out Sunday (and anytime you plan to come out) please please call ahead and listen to the message or check Facebook for availability.

Also in town at Hollin Farms our friends Matt and Shannon Davenport are starting the year out at their pick your own farm. For the next 3 days they will have Lettuce, Kale, Napa Cabbage, Swiss Chard and peas to pick!

I am also posting a short video walking around the strawberry patch so you can see what we have and how the patch looks. Things are looking pretty good especially for Friday and Saturday.

Hi there guys the rain looks like it might have finally stopped and we still have plenty of decent strawberries. A lot of the strawberries that were super ripe and should have been picked this weekend have gotten waterlogged but they are easy to spot and there are still plenty of excellent berries ripening up as we speak. We plan to be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Please as always check before you head out either this Facebook feed or the phone message to make sure we didn't have to close down.

Sunday and Monday, may 24th and 25th, we will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with pick your own strawberries. The berries have gotten a little wet and a little heavier and we are dropping the price to $4.99 a pound. As always containers are provided and we accept all major credit cards.
