Hi there again folks! With this beautiful weather and amazing apple crop we couldn't help but open up our pumpkin patch and pick some tomatoes and peppers. We will be open from 11 am till 5 pm this Saturday and Sunday with an awesome assortment of pumpkins and winter squash along with veggies. Uncle Bill has apples for picking and mom and dad have the farm market open. Hope to see you!
OPEN 9 TILL 2 MONDAY THRU SATURDAY
Hi there ... Here's a little video of the tomato patch tonight. Trying to give you an idea of the amount of ripe tomatoes we have ... It's a LOT!! We will be open every day this week from 9 am till 2 pm. These are Mountain Fresh and Celebrities - excellent for slicing and canning. Tomatoes are $1.99 a pound for less than ten pounds and $1 per pound if you pick ten pounds or more.
Hey there folks ... A short video of mom and dad (Hank and Cheryll) planting Christmas trees here the other day!
I hope all of you are staying safe during this strange time. Many of you who come to pick are nurses and doctors and clerks and we send you our thanks and best wishes.
Sadly, we will not have a strawberry season this year. Part of the reason is the pandemic, part of it is the rains of 2018/19 which took out a good portion of the field. We will be planting fifty thousand strawberry plants for next year in a new location with many thousands of tons of uncle Bill's compost and hopefully we can all shake hands and pick berries then.
As for this year ... We have what looks to be excellent crops of blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, red raspberries (both in the summer and in the fall), and we've got thousands of tomatoes and peppers growing in the greenhouse. We are working to set up a safe system for picking and sales. We think that black raspberries, summer red raspberries, and blueberries should all start in June.
Stay safe!
Brian
Blueberries in a breeze. We have tons (literally) of ripe blueberries AND black raspberries at gate 4. Also there are a few red raspberries and blackberries every day. 540.316.7715.
Thought this was a neat view. We don't fumigate our strawberries which means we get to spend our evenings pulling weeds and finding creative ways to keep the beds dry when it rains! We are open every day right now from 9 to 5. 540.316.7715.
We have acres of ripe tomatoes here now ... pick your own or already picked! For large quantity pricing please call and leave a message. 540.316.7715.
