Some of our babies are off to the 4-h fair for their first chicken show. Our granddaughter Willow will be showing them in a couple of different categories and has worked hard this week to get them ready (they were not happy with bath time) but we are so excited that she has an interest in them and love that she chose to take them.

She took:

2 Lavender Orpingtons, Violet and Viola

2 Isa Browns, Ivy and Isabelle

And 1 Polish, Tina Turner

On the way home from a fundraiser in Indy today as we are pulling onto our road James tells me that the cigar club event we are going to a 4 is a pitch in 🤦🏻‍♀️

So I pulled some sourdough discard out of the fridge and made sourdough discard chocolate chip cookies and sourdough discard peanut butter cookies.

I hope everyone thinks they are as yummy as they look 😊

Today we did a little chicken moving around. What we call the “medium” chickens outgrew their brooders and need to be in a permanent home. So off to TSC we went and with the help of Chase and Cayley we put together a new home for them in a few hours. We had bought a very small coop on Amazon a while back and thought we would put it to good use and moved the “little” chickens into it until they are old enough to join the “medium” chickens. The best picture I got was of the “big” chickens reaction to the “medium” chickens moving next door.
