| My Story |

Ciao! My name is Kirstin, and I am the owner and operator of Piccoline's Table, based out of Marlborough, Massachusetts. My loving relationship with food began at a very young age, in my Grandparent’s kitchen in New Jersey. Before I was even old enough to understand or appreciate the initiation I was a part of, my Grandfather would have me try fresh, raw vegetables right from his humble little backyard garden. He would pick green beans, lettuce, and tomatoes still wet with dew from the cool, early mornings, and hold them right up to my mouth, never taking no for an answer. At the time, I really only understood food as being seasoned or sauced, and prepared on a plate. Yet, even being so young, as I’d crunch on a green bean, I could always see the excitement in his eyes, and could tell he wanted me to appreciate these simple pleasures as much as he did. For him, the most proud Italian man I’ve EVER met, discussing and enjoying food meant celebrating a rite and ritual, with food representing the biggest expression of our culture. He raised me on stories of my Grandma (who had passed) beginning each Sunday morning before the sun came up, in the kitchen breaking down tomatoes and hand rolling pounds of fresh pasta. My Grandfather Anthony Piccoline was truly the embodiment of the concept of Food = Love. To my Pop, food translates to time spent with family, laughter, conversation, and making memories. To Pop, this all happens over a warm plate of pasta, with a glass of wine. I grew up finely tuning my skills at traditional Italian cooking, growing from my Grandparent’s kitchen, to cooking side by side with my Mom. Then, life took a dark turn as it often does, and I found myself sick with Cancer. Once I recovered, I was faced with a new challenge. For my health, I had to find newer, healthier ways to cook classic favorites. (Although Italian / Mediterranean food isn’t considered unhealthy, I still had to find new creative ways to make healthier versions of my favorite meals). I spent years adjusting and alternating recipes, and now these newly crafted versions have become favorites as well! I feel lucky that I was able to find a happy medium of old world Italian classics and newer healthy meals. My goal was to NEVER feel like I was sacrificing, or eating “diet” food, left craving. I believe delicious food should be accessible and enjoyable, even to those of us with bodies that like to fight us, as mine often does :-) This journey then led me down the road of fresh pasta making. Making pasta comes from the heart, and is the Italian version of love and care on a plate. Although both of my Grandparents are now gone from this world, I proudly carry on their traditions. Just as a painter carefully works to execute the exact correct shade of color for their canvas, I carefully work to perfect as many fresh pasta variations as I can, without any chemicals or artificial additives! My canvas is my plate. Eating healthy or authentically does NOT have to be boring or basic, and I'm here to prove it! Today, I take pride in creating the freshest and cleanest pasta I can (with a bit of fun and flair), to share with others, just as my Grandma did every Sunday in “Old-New Jersey.”

Cooking always was, and still remains my one true love, and my Grandfather was my Cupid. Piccoline’s table is for him.

✨️ Update regarding our participation in the Framingham Farmers Market ➡️ To our Framingham shoppers and supporters: we made the difficult decision to discontinue our participation in these Thursday markets. This decision came from extreme difficulties in working a Thursday market date around and in between our very specific pasta production workflow. Sadly, after many weeks of trying to adjust, reorganize, and alter our process, we came to the realization that a Thursday market date cannot and does not align effectively or efficiently with our production process. We feel it is best to focus our time and resources where we can maintain the quality and consistency we expect from our products, and in turn, expect to deliver to all of YOU! You can still find us on weekends at the markets listed above, and we hope to see you there! ✨️

🍽 Last night's dinner, courtesy of my vendor friends from the Marlborough Farmers Market 🫶 I made Italian Sausage Stuffed Zucchini Boats.....although, they should be called Sausage Stuffed Mega Yachts. The zucchini was SO enormous, the only 2 possible explanations are (1) they got zapped by the Rick & Morty Morphizer-XE, or (2) they contain alien DNA. But, go big or go home! And we certainly did.....

Enjoyed with Italian Hoagie Focaccia by . This bread has everything an Italian girl dreams of......Salami, Mortadella, Soprasetta, Pickles, Cheese, etc. 🇮🇹

🫶 One of the BEST parts of being involved in numerous Farmers Markets across different towns & communities, is building new business relationships and friendships! These relationships allow us as vendors to support each other, and collaborate!

Today's work is all thanks to my vendor friends from the Hopkinton Farmers Market 🙌 I managed to nab this amazingly fresh, gorgeous Fairytale Eggplant from Holliston MA Produce Farm (I was just lucky enough to fight my way through their line)! I always say, sometimes the ingredients find YOU....and when I saw these little beauties, I immediately became inspired. Slow roasted by yours truly with olive oil, garlic, and oregano, one of this weeks featured pasta flavors will be Fairytale Eggplant Fettuccini! 🍆

What kept me going all day? Much needed cold brew from Edward's Coffee 👍 (Saving half of it for later to make a "Russian Coffee" if you catch my drift......☕️

Aaaaand another week begins!

Just another moment of appreciation, and yet another reminder of just how awesome it is to live and work where I do 🖤 I pulled up to unload my car at the Hopkinton Farmers Market this morning, turned around, and was standing at the start line of the Boston Marathon. (🪦 Bonus points for the cemetery aesthetic ⚰️)
