Sometimes life asks you to make lemonade without lemons and you end up with simple syrup it's not bad it just not what you planned on. Grant will not be a stallion instead he will become one of the incredibly talented happy boys that have all the fun stuff to do in a few years. He just didn't want to share his lemons with everyone and that's ok. But don't worry his happy little face will likely stay around for a while more on that later......

As most people know Pierce had a stifle swelling. We all believed it was a simple hematoma when it didn't resolve in a timely manner further diagnostics were preformed and it was determined that he tore a ligament in his stifle surgery with scoping was recommended to clean out fluid and check for further damage. Luckily Raven Rock large animal hospital had a opening Friday. I'm super impressed with the team at this newly opened hospital he was the 9th horse through the surgery room he recovered perfectly and was ready to come home the next morning. Time will tell but his prognosis is quite good if all goes to plan. No ocds just a bunch of trauma that time and supportive therapy will heal. Happy to have a hospital option that isn't 2+ hours away it made the whole process less stressful! He is very happy and bouncing around in his stall like it never happened! A massive thank you Dr.Rifkin and Manadnock Equine Veterinarian Service!
