✨Just want to say: never judge someone fully off of someone else’s opinion you see online.✨
After talking to that person and meeting them you may realize that they are wonderful people. I will say it’s easy to see a little post and automatically say “I’m going to add them to my do not sell list”, but in some cases you may be surprised who is actually in the wrong and it’s easy to flip stories and make messages/words seem like something else entirely.

Have a blessed day everyone! 🫶🏻

Pictured is one of my lovely customers with a showgirl that they got from us as a chick. I’m thinking it’s possibly a girl but what do you guys think? So cute either way! ♥️

Straight runs are sold

I look in my brooders and I have TOO MANY straight run and DNA sexed boys. Would anyone be interested in some mottled (blue and black) babies? I also have a few blue babies and maybe buff. I can do a “boy box” extremely cheap if you want some cute boys to grow out or I can do straight run as well. I need to move a lot of these before we leave next week so they’re priced accordingly. Some are pet quality but most have breeder potential. Please PM me!

I want to share this that my friend Terry Alexander wrote about chickens. I feel that this is so relatable and a really sweet and thoughtful way to look at things. 🥹

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

“What I’ve recently learned, I’ve learned from my chickens”

I never imagined that God would use something as simple as chickens to teach me about life… but HE is!

Every morning and evening, I sit by the quiet of my coop, (named the “Alexander Hen Den”), away from the noise of my day, and I quietly watch and listen to these beautiful chickens I’ve been so blessed with! I get a sense there are life lessons here, they are gentle reminders, of how life is meant to be lived. It’s hard to explain but I will try!

My chickens are teaching me to SLOW DOWN. Not everything needs to be rushed or chased. They move with purpose, not pressure. My chickens don’t hurry… and yet, everything they need is found right where they are. There’s something sacred about that kind of trust. These chickens believe in shelter they didn’t build. They rest in safety they didn’t create. They settle in without questioning whether the night will be kind.
And I wonder… when did I forget how to do that?

I’m learning to REST! For those who know me, know I do NOT do this well!! But when the sun begins to set, my chickens amaze me…they don’t question it…they trust it and they go to their roost! I am learning I don’t have to squeeze in one more task off my to-do list, one more load of laundry or scroll through one more post or even create one more cookie design. I need to simply settle in, like the chickens, trusting that tomorrow will come. This is a difficult challenge for me…to let the day be enough. Yes, I’m guilty and they remind me that happiness doesn’t have to be complicated—it’s often right in front of me! So often, I forget that God is already holding what I’m trying so hard to carry!!

They’ve taught me to find JOY in the simple things. For my chickens, a patch of dirt became a spa! The “Dusty Diva Bath & Spa” to be exact!! Then a breeze often becomes a blessing and a quiet moment becomes enough. These are the moments, in the still of the silence, I hear God speak to me! “Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10) is a biblical call to surrender anxieties, stop striving, and trust in God’s sovereignty during chaos. The Hebrew root, raphah, means to "let go," "drop," or "relax," urging believers to cease controlling outcomes and trust in His divine

I’ve read chickens are social animals and always better together. Through this, I am learning more about FELLOWSHIP and friendship! I’ve watched them stay close to each other! There is comfort in togetherness, in laughter, in simply being present. It’s a reflection of how God designed us. They follow each other, check on each other, and find comfort just being near each other. Even the boldest hen keeps an eye on the flock. This, to me, is a reminder that life is better when we stay close to the people who make us laugh, who bring us peace, who simply feel like home. This is so important to me!

And maybe most of all… they’re teaching me to SEEK something GREATER! I watch them “forage” and it’s not just for food. It’s like they “forage” for PURPOSE, for FAITH, for GOD! Foraging isn’t surviving, it’s SEEKING! They don’t just eat what’s handed to them because even with a full feeder, they still continue scratching and searching. I’ve watched my chickens tilt their heads like they’re listening for something deeper than sound. Are they listening to GOD? There’s something sacred in their simplicity, something grounding simply in their presence, this pulls my heart back to what matters…that in their simplicity, there is peace. In their rhythm, there is truth. In their presence, there is a quiet whisper of God’s design. Who knew something so small could point me back to something so eternal?

What I’m learning from my chickens is this: slow down, hurry less, rest deeply, cherish the quiet, stay close and love your people, seek God in everything and never stop seeking what feeds your soul! To “forage” not just for food, but for purpose, for faith, for God, in everyday living.

So here I am, learning from my chickens who will never know they’re teaching. All of it, in feathers, dust, and the quiet wisdom of a flock that simply lives the way it was made to. And somehow, that’s enough to change me.

Just want to say a big thank you to Terry Alexander @ Terry’s Blooming Cupcakes & Custom Sugar Cookies
She did a wonderful job making beautiful little cupcakes and cookies for my son’s first birthday! She even made him a double stacked one for a smash cake just because she wanted it to be special! 🥹 They all look like my MIL polish rooster Bonnie 🥰

The cupcakes were so amazing we all loved them! They truly tasted like wedding cake! 🎂

Thank you so much Terry! You’re amazing! 🤩

(I tried to get good photos of them and my son but he is teething so a little grouchy- the first 3 photos are from Terry!)
