This past week, we lost a great friend, customer & selfless member of the Delaware County community.

Fred “Tooch” Amatucci was a joy to talk to & be around. He battled tough the last several years during a courageous battle with cancer & even on his worse days he always made you laugh & smile.

The definition of a fighter, Tooch served Delaware County as a 9-1-1 dispather, a member of Springfield Police Department, worked in the Upper Darby School District & was a firefighter both with Upper Darby & Bon Air Fire Departments. Tooch also spent many hours volunteering in youth sports in Drexel Hill. But above all, he enjoyed being Santa’s helper every year at countless events.

There was nothing more he loved than to talk about his wife & 3 sons. Tooch was a special guy that you don’t come across often.

We send our condolences to Fred’s family & friends. We will miss you, buddy! Rest easy.
