The NMU History Department is hosting a guest lecture on beer and fermentation history on April 19 at 4 p.m. at Kognisjon Bryggeri. History of the World in a Glass of Beer will explore a range of broad trends in world history through the microcosm of fermentation history. The narrative by Dr. Mark Pitner is informed by experiences as a homebrewer and as a teacher and scholar of world history.
