Here is another unusual recipe that includes blackberries. Blackberry and Red Wine Sauce. Goes great with steak, chicken or pork chops. Have made this several times. The link is below for this recipe.

I often get asked what I make with the blackberries other than cobbler and jelly. Trust me, I have tried many things! I am going to share some of my favorite recipes during this blackberry season.

We will start with the most unique. Pictured is Blackberry Honey Jalapeno Fried Chicken. It was actually delish and got my families approval. This is an actual picture of what we made, so it is pretty easy to make if I succeeded at it!

There have been a lot of great stories being told on the back porch of Back Porch Farm and Ranch the last couple of weeks ... and lots of berries picked! We have been blessed to have been visited by some great groups the last couple of weeks and wanted to share some pictures. Love waking up every morning to see if there are any new calves out in the pasture. We don’t drink coffee but enjoy sitting on the back porch with our Big Red and tea watching the calves run and play, kicking up their heels and enjoying the fresh new day at Back Porch Farm and Ranch. My favorite is watching a newborn calf working his way down his momma’s side on his wobbly legs trying to see if she’s “Got Milk”.
