We got our first ever goose egg on the farm this morning!
I absolutely will be incubating every single one we get this year and growing out the babies to see how they turn out.

I’ve decided as a farm we’ll be scaling back on chickens and focusing more on water fowl. I am still breeding Ermine Ameraucanas but those have a long way to go before I’m happy with how they look.

Super happy though and excited to have some goslings running around in the next month!

Just about 13 Welshies going to the brooder this morning.
I am keeping some to grow out but selling about 6-9 of them.
There is a way you can s*x them at hatch with about 70% accuracy. But I don’t go by that, and therefore can’t guarantee male/female pairs or trios. They are being sold as straight run.
I try my best if I think due to bill color I may have a male to not give you all males but again, I don’t guarantee anything. Last year I had two that I thought were male and they ended up being female; so there’s always room for error.

They are $12/ea. Welsh Harlequin ducklings. They are very prolific layers and are absolutely gorgeous to have on your pond!

Not really poultry related, but something y’all may not know is that I love sewing and have been a hobby sewer for many years. I’ve picked it back up pretty heavily in the last year or two and have started making things again.

So while we are limited on eggs and chicks this Spring; I will be offering handmade items.
There will be more items posted in the near future.

For now I am offering Kitchen Aid Mixing bowl covers. These covers work great for letting bread rise or just keeping your mixing bowl covered when not in use on your counter.
They are double sided/reversible and washable on a delicate cycle!

I can make these with any fabric or pattern request you’d like (within reason).

Pictured is one bowl cover, double sided with two different patterns.

They are $10/each. Turn around time is about a week!

Major apologies for being absent on this page.
Winter has been rough for us on the farm and none of my breeding plans have worked out so far. 🤦‍♀️

Things can always change and it’s still early on but if we offer chicks/hatching eggs this Spring it’ll be on the rare occasion and I’ll make a post for eggs that we do have available.

The freeze we had come through a week or so ago ended up giving us quite a few inches of ice!
We had minor losses and are hopeful for warmer weather. 🤞
