Some days farming is easy… well, at least not so hard. Some days you load one calf, only to have to pull another calf for a first calf heifer, spend an hour warming him up and clearing up his breathing, then run to town for supplies you thought you already had, and after all that… all you can do is pray that Mama does her part.

And she did! And she had a MASSIVE calf. This is why Juliet is our favorite (don’t tell the others).

And yes, he’s alive, we assume maybe that’s how he was sleeping in the womb!

Of course she waited til it was 16 degrees (feels like 7) to have her litter! But HVA Louisiana is in her barn, with her own personal hay bale, feed bowl and water trough, living her Best Mama Life with her litter of 10, on this incredibly cold, icy January morning. Babies are up and moving and eating - Louie did good! 🐷 💖

When you’ve only been fed 3x today, have 3 new bales of hay out and a couple of protein tubs. You still gotta check it...

Not sure if this guy is the last one for the year or if we’ll have a December baby, but meet HVA Jerry, born 10.5.25 at about 5:15 pm. Mama is one of our registered Charolais, Curly Sue, #2798, and the proud papa is our registered Red Angus, Red Winston #968.

He shares a birthday with cousin Jerry, who I am sure will be delighted with the namesake.

He is a BIG boy. We may end up leaving him as a bull, so if you are wanting a young bull in about 6 months, let us know!

We have had 35 piglets from 4 litters born in the last couple of weeks! Busy busy piggos!

Currently, we have 1 boarling who we can/will register with the RWHA. Born June 1st, he will be ready to go around 7/20. Dad is JLWW Coop and mom is our (best/favorite!) sow LFF Venus. He is one of 11 born in this litter - she consistently has 8+ and farrows every 5-6 month without a problem.

If you are interested in a registered boarling (ready to breed around January of 2026 for May 2026 litters) - PM us. We do require a deposit on boars. He will go from boar hog to bar hog by 6/21, so don’t wait if you are interested.

We are pleased to introduce our new herd sire, Myers Sherman Tank (RWHA 5443), and his favorite gal pals, Myers Rosie Roe Roe (RWHA 5681-AI) and SA Ginger Belle (RWHA 5449).

Beginning in May, we will briefly be able to offer breeding stock from 3 sires. We will have nonrelated breeding pairs, trios and starter herds, all registered with the RWHA. We will also have several dozen feeders available in the same time frame.

PM for pricing and availability. Bulk pricing is available. Non refundable deposits may be required for large quantities.
