Statement concerning Covid 19.
Morris Bros is a custom hay and straw baling business along with sales of those items. The very nature of our work as an agriculture business means we are essential and the processes we use to do this work means 95% of the time we are alone. The other 5% we have social distance because who wants to be near a sweaty guy and tossing bales gives us plenty. Therefore, we will be making no changes to our business operations.

Since the ingenious guy in charge of our work group changed my job I now have time to get going on our pulling team. Hopefully this winter we can find just the right Case to begin our journey next summer. Keep a watch for us and share any Case tractors for sale from 60s, 70s, and 80s. Nothing to hot since we are just starting out.

Oh Yeah!!!

Something new for us. We have been doing a few custom jobs the last couple years and decided to "make it official" during the Marshall Fall Festival. Not only do we do custom Hay work, we also buy and sell both, hay and straw, small squares and 4x5 round bales. Feel free to message or call us for your hay and straw needs.

What a busy and exciting week!! First off was a trip to Omaha via Iowa for work. While Traveling through Iowa found some nice farms for sale that I got to check out. There are possibilities there and I loved the areas. Next came getting the sprayer repairs done. FINALLY, got it back to work. Finished planting the beans and milo, got everything sprayed and even managed to get 3 acres of barley hay cut and baled. After the last few weeks I am relieved to be on a better level.

The last week has been a busy week. Sprayer problems has kept us slowed down from completing all the spring planting but the corn is in the ground, half the beans are done and up. Got 20% of the sweet corn acres planted with 10% this week. The late snow in April ruined our plans to have sweet corn available for the 4th of July party but it should still be ready by mid July. We will post when we have some ready to go!!!

Spring is offically here at Morris Bros.!! I kniw the calendar doesnt say so but farming season has begun for 2018. Yesterday I planted our first field of spring seeded crops. I can really see the difference in the soil from no tilling. The soil was very mellow and planted really good to be early March. Normally you would expect thick slimy mud this time of year but it was not. Just another advantage of No till. Im glad to be started and soon the corn planter will be rolling too.
