I hear we're going into fall break this next week and we are already starting to get calls to ride!

We can take up to 8 riders per ride time and so far we have ride times for October 12th to 18th

Wednesday: open availability at 1:30, 3:30, or 5:30 for trail rides

Thursday:1:30 Homeschool group rescheduled, group lesson for $40/person, 5:30pm ride

Friday: 3:30pm or 5:30pm trail rides available

Saturday: 1:30pm ride for 1 hour, 3:30pm ride for 2 hours

Sunday: open availability

We're going to put out feelers for an adult back in the saddle group

Have you been out of practice for years but don't want to feel like you're a whole beginner? Or perhaps you wish to join a laid back show team without having to jump in solo? This group would be a faster paced reintroduction but with an emphasis on getting time in the saddle. If you have a horse but they aren't ready yet or you need help getting going, this is also a good group for you.

On our schedule is a mixture of local playdays, lower level hunter/jumper, schooling horse trials, and more.. Otherwise we are on trail and conditioning ourselves and the horses.

This would be an all around team flexible to whatever sounds fun to try, reasonable distance, and affordable. This isn't a commitment to pay $$$$$$ in show fees per year with $$$$ put into attire and tack as we have a dozen English saddles and a couple dozen Western saddles.

You do not need previous show experience or extensive riding background, just willingness to learn. For total beginners we can start with private lessons the first couple weeks to get you into the swing of things if this group appeals to you.

We are currently tearing down one of our old horse pens to replace. If anyone needs old corral board for craft, not necessarily for structural use, we will be around and willing to load if it would be of any use. Make an offer and it should be torn down this week

Technology is awfully slow for as far as we have advanced and we have no idea who is calling from anonymous numbers

Additionally we get a thousand spam calls per day so we can't pick through voicemails if we don't have a phone number to call back

Let's get together with some of our homeschool families and kiddos in the area!

Starting at 1:30 October 8th until finished let's offer a group lesson and trail riding hybrid session. After this ends we can discuss whether we want this as a monthly or biweekly event. We will, the first time out, learn to brush and saddle before going trail riding. We will ride 45 minutes to an hour. Larger families welcome and parents are encouraged to participate.

Cost will be $50 for one person, $40 per person if two or more signed up together. For families of 4+ please contact us. We do have some odd jobs teens can do from time to time to offset costs (painting fence, pulling weeds, parents that have bush hogs or mulchers likely to ride completely on trade)

Discussion topic and educational print off will be for parts of the saddle and bridle.

Under 8 years old or individuals with behavioral considerations we will require a parent or older teen sibling to be on hand to assist.

We are going to cap this at 10 people for the time being.

Fall is arriving a couple of days late but you can see exactly when we are moving into offering our 1:30 and 3:30 rides again

Starting Wednesday we can once again offer afternoons instead of only evening rides! If you have little ones that would usually be too tired by evening or if your work schedule doesn't allow evening rides then we can get you booked once again!

For medical professionals we are flexible to do some mornings as we know some of you guys are fighting for your lives on scheduling

At this time we are moving our two hour rides back to 5:30. We have sunset rides available Friday through Sunday this weekend and lessons at 10am or 6pm Friday and Sunday.

For Saturday rides please let us know by the evening before. We are travelling some to do small playdays but need to make plans to have horses up before we go or stay home if we have groups of 4 or more.

Before we start buying brand new we just wanted to check with our followers..... Does anyone have roughly 150' of round pen panels for sale? They need to be at least 5', 6' preferred. Prefer good condition. Some dents fine but don't want them falling apart or bent ones. We are starting to do some replacements on horse pens and some of the posts that have been in use for decades have put in their 2 weeks notice.

We do offer riding lessons as well. We can do weekly for $50 per lesson or $40 per lesson for 2 or more family members taking lessons.

Additionally bi weekly or more is $40 per person. For larger families we are willing to discount further in exchange for labor or hay.

We teach an all around program+. Colonial Spanish Horses are versatile and we have up to 13 lesson horses available at this time. We have lower level hunter/jumper and eventing (we don't have a need for horses to jump fences higher than we want to build or small children jumping bigger than themselves), long distance riding, western show, groundwork horsemanship, and all students will learn how to groom, saddle, and help care for their mounts as well as the tack and equipment required for riding.

We haul to some shows as we are able, however our goal is to make this affordable for families by looking for affordable (free to $150) events, having capable horses available for young riders without dropping high $$$$ to lower mid $$$$$ horses for children that could lose interest or outgrow their mounts.

Give us a call to get started and choose your lesson times for fall! We are fairly flexible but would like to have an idea of what our schedules will be before taking on training projects.

Current students are enjoying the inexpensive playdays until we can haul further again to lower level hunter/ jumper, hunter paces, and long distance rides.
