Worked on the Milo stalks last night and this morning. Not too bad but I’d say it’ll definitely take a pass with the disk in the spring to finish sizing them, before I field cultivate and plant.

I’ve been getting a good chunk of my fall spraying knocked out this week. Aiming to keep the ground clean until it’s planted, which will help it dry out faster in the spring.

Just because harvest is the same as over doesn’t mean the work is done. I’m ripping today while dad bush hogs around fields.

Last 2 rows of corn harvest 25. Now just 3 acres of beans I didn’t think I was going to harvest and we’ll be done.

Not hard to tell where the fungicide check strip is in this field. Cutting right through the middle of the field. It’s still good corn but that’s a 50 bushel difference, also a major difference in plant health.

Fired the drying bin up for the day. Gotta let it catch up with us by the time we’re ready to roll.

That’s a wrap on beans 2025. A few bumps in the road, but I’ll take having all the beans cut in 8 straight days any year.

Didn’t take any pictures yesterday on day 1 but harvest 2025 is underway. Day 2.

Took some hand samples this morning. Disregard the temperature, it’s not accurate. Probably still a week to 10 days off on corn. I prefer the moisture to be mid to low 20s before I start drying. 27 percent corn goes directly to town, 31 percent corn goes through our drying bin. Beans could start tomorrow or Friday though.
