Today’s photo features a close-up of a red cover blossom on the farm. It reminded me that sometimes something really beautiful can literally be right under our feet if we just take a moment to slow down to look closer. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I had a misbake with the honey molasses bread this week. It is being offered for free. It’s still tasty and edible, but I was displeased with it.

This week we started an exciting adventure on the farm. I please to announce the beginning of Erika’s Easter Eggs. Below is one of my favorite eggs that my girls have laid so far. There are no eggs available this week, as not all my ladies are laying, and I am keeping them. However, as they start to lay more, I will be offering some eggs for sale. Please note the eggs are not for sale through Misfit Farm Sourdough, and have no connection to my sourdough business.

Good morning. My inflammation has unfortunately flared up, and caused a nasty migraine. I was hoping I’d be able to power through, but my body said, “No thank you ma’am.” Barring an extreme emergency, I will be baking next week, and should be able to wrangle my inflammation by then. In the meantime, please enjoy an adorable photo of my daughter’s very sleepy mini.

I was sitting at minot beach the other day watching the sun go down, and reflecting on the crazy adventure of life, all the twists and turns, the amazing animals and people that have been brought into my life, and although the path may not have been smooth, it has been incredible, and I am so thankful!!
