WATCH OUT FOR ONLINE RUSTLERS

This is a constant battle but there's a particular scam going around at the moment where a scammer or group of scammers is contacting people with available cattle. They are sending out fake cashier's checks then asking you to send real money to a third party "shipper"
Another variation of this is where they back out of the deal before shipping and before the check clears they ask you to send partial payment back to them and keep the remainder for your trouble

Most of these scams just involve money and not the actual cattle
Cashier's checks can be fine just make sure it's from a legitimate bank and always allow plenty of time for them to clear all the way through the bank before any money or cattle exchange hands
Personal checks are actually safer
I'm attaching 2 of the scammers messages below so everyone can recognize the wording they use

Watch out for unusual wording
Broken English
And make sure you talk to potential customers on the phone not just through messaging most of these scams are originating from outside the US

Thanks for the update and the pictures too. I appreciate it....However,I want you to know that the price is okay by me and as for pick up that would not be a problem.....
As for the payment i will be paying with a certified check which will be cashed easily...I want you to that i would be adding the payment for hauling to the check that would be sent to you..in which you will deduct your $###x and send the remaining balance to the person doing the hauling...They will be coming to your place once the payment is finalized....To send it out I will need your full name and address where the check will be sent to and probably your phone number...
Do send the info to me asap....hope to hear from you soon.
