While most birds are finishing up raising their young for the year, the American Goldfinch is just getting started! They intentionally delay their nesting season until late summer when thistles and milkweed go to seed, giving them the perfect soft building materials for their babies.

The Dispersal of Sutten Oaks Ranch lasted 3 days and 399 head were listed in the catalog. The bull Dunloggin Strath Var came to California and had a major influence on the Sutten Oaks herd.

He was owned by NancyThomson, WI.

Detert Beacon Inka Mistress EX-95 b. 12/20/1949 was purchased in the 1960 Braun's Sunny Lea Dispersal by Lakeside Farms, William Hayssen, Elkhart Lake. She was a leader for butterfat producton in Wisconsin 7-00 365 3X 25619 4.7% 1211. Two of her sons Hayssen Fieldmaster EX (Lakefield Fond Hope) and Hayssen Rockmaster (Rosafe Shamrock Perseus) were used on the herd and then later sold to Japan.
