Making Ginger Seed!
Ginger is one of our favorite and unique ventures on our Vermont farm. Making ginger seed simply involves cutting larger ginger into smaller pieces, or seeds. After a few days, the cut area “heals” and the seed is ready to be placed in trays, covered with soil or vermiculite, and placed on a heated surface to sprout before planting in late May. As always, we’re grateful for the amazing organic ginger from Hawaiian Clean Seed!
