Hey friends sorry its been a busy summer! The orchards been on autopilot as we have 3 kids in sports and in 3 different schools! We have apples! The garage door has the scale and the drop box. Park on the road as 7" this week has left things a bit on the spongy side!

Friends, it has reached the point of cleanup. Wildlife apples are all that remains after picking through the heat this afternoon! Off the trees or on the ground $5 grocery bag take as many as you want but please pick a tree and take all on the tree! Thanks for all your patronage this season!

Hosted MSTC urban forestry class at the orchard. Pruning rules on fruit trees break almost every rule of ornamental pruning because we stay after the tree 🎄every year. So glad they caught a before and after shot of this duchess tree that had a slight suckering problem! Thank you!!

Apples are froze but... pumpkins and corn thrive! 100 field trip variety pumpkins 5-8lb long handle, perfect color. Paint them, tip them on their side and use the handle as a nose, put them on display! Ornamental corn too, wildas pride, bloody butcher, and earth tone dent. Perfect for bundling, or shelling and putting into an ornamental jar like sand art!

To our orchard friends: The past two days has made it abundantly clear that mother nature got the upper hand with a 22 degree frost during blossom set. Normally each tree would yield around 500 lbs of apples with a good majority being able to be sorted for your use. This year the trees are yielding 50 lbs or in some cases 5 apples per tree with deformities on all. If you are in need of food plot supplements let me know. This picture represents 25 trees.
