Hi Neighbors!

This will be kind of a long post but I hope you stick around to read it all.

I know it’s been a while, a lot has happened the last couple of months. As you all may remember, we were in the process of having bought a building to have a small walk in farm stand. We did have that delivered and we were just about to start working on it to open up a store before my mom unexpectedly passed away on July 10th, and that brought my whole world to a jarring halt. I had lost any interest in continuing on with anything at that point and was deep in grief and battling depression.

Not long after she passed Will and I found out that we are expecting our fifth and final child. We were just as shocked as some of you may be but we’re beyond excited. With this though it also means that once baby is born in March I’ll be back to being a SAHM and focusing on my family and growing our homestead some more.

The other good news is Will and I do plan to start working on the building again soon to get it open, though I don’t have an exact date. To be honest it may be towards the Spring season again so we have time to save money. Our biggest hurdles are going to be running power to the building, insulating it and putting up walls, and most importantly having our driveway graded and new rock brought out to make it easier to drive and access the farm stand. (I couldn’t have it near the road due to zoning issues and setback regulations)

I just wanted to come on here and give a little life update and let you all know that we do still plan to continue with it and be able to share fresh produce and baked goods with everyone as well as continuing with shelf stable items and other fun merchandise! ♥️

In the mean time our hens are putting in some work and I do have 4 dozen fresh unwashed eggs collected daily if anyone is interested, $4/dozen or $2/half dozen.

Hi friends,

I’m sorry I haven’t been on here lately. We fully intended on opening the walk in farm stand and I was so excited about that; but things came to an abrupt stop when my family unexpectedly lost my mother last Friday. 😞 Honestly I have been battling anxiety and depression hard and at this moment I am unsure if I will continue with a farm stand or not. When/if that time comes I will update everyone on here. Thank you to our family, friends, and neighbors for the support. Love you guys.

Green beans anyone?

It’s a busy day here! Will harvested and watered early this morning, he’s been cutting grass the last couple of hours. I fed the flock, changed the duck pond water, pruned some flowers and then came in to do some inside chores and make lunch. Then I went out and moved a bunch of concrete blocks from where we had our old farm stand at, I plan to use some of those to make some temporary steps for the walk in until we build some wood ones. Still lots to be done! I want to get more sunflowers and pumpkins sown. Gotta water the greenhouse. Start mapping out our fall garden before too long. And I’ve gotta get some sort of start on the walk in. 😂 There’s always work to be done.

Hi neighbors! With the anticipation of our building being delivered next week we will be closed while we have renovations underway to open up our brand new walk-in farm store. During this time our roadside stand will be closed. I will announce a grand reopening date soon, so stay tuned. Thank you all so much!

I’m about to throw together a sheet pan meal that’s gonna be so good! With potatoes, green beans, crookneck & zucchini squash, and chicken from C & E Acres! I already can’t wait to dig in.

Tons more beans still need to be picked. Will picked about 2.5 gallons last night. I love to snack on these, so does Liam! 😂

Today was a huge success! One thing I learned without a doubt is not to underestimate our community. I was very excited to participate when Erin initially reached out about this event, but to be fully transparent, a little skeptical of what the turnout would be like. I was 110% NOT anticipating to have as many amazing neighbors stop by as we did today. I am just blown away and extremely grateful for everyone who crawled and supported all of our small businesses. I did have the pleasure to talk to some of you who stopped by while I was restocking. For those of you that I missed, I am so sorry I didn’t get the chance to chat. The next crawl that we do I will be more prepared and efficiently stocked from the get go, and fully present to greet and thank you all personally. Thank you so much for your support and I can’t wait for the next crawl. ☺️
