Original Post:
We’re excited to announce a January cooking class. This class will focus on the highly requested Whole Food Plant Based lifestyle. Whole Food Plant Base eating prioritizes plant foods and minimize processed ingredients. This eating pattern is environmentally friendly and may be associated with several health benefits. the basic principles of a whole-foods, plant-based diet are as follows:
• emphasizes whole, minimally processed foods
• limits or avoids animal products
focuses on plants, including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, seeds, and nuts, which should make up the majority of what you eat
• excludes refined foods, like added sugars, white flour, and processed oils
• pays special attention to food quality, with many proponents of the WFPB diet promoting locally sourced, organic food whenever possible
We’ll be making Roasted Butternut Ginger Bisque, Pasta Puttanesca and Banana Split Cake
You will learn the basics of WFPB eating, prepare 3 dishes to taste and receive the recipes to take home to make them again!
$79/pp
The class size is limited to 5 participants, so please email [email protected] to sign up. The first five will be sent an invoice and enrolled upon payment. Any additional registrants will be added to a waitlist for future classes. We will also be offering vegan, gluten free and kids classes.
It will be held on Saturday January 20th from 1-4p at the OPP Kitchen at 359 Furys Ferry Rd
