I’m a firm believer that who you surround yourself with matters.
A couple of months ago, I took a leap of faith and went to a faith based gathering for women entrepreneurs. I was SO nervous because I didn’t know anyone there. I was just trusting that God would guide me because I wanted to meet new people who were “like me.” You don’t see many 18 year old girls running a business, so finding people who truly understand that journey can be hard.
Little did I know, that leap of faith was going to become one of the biggest blessings.
From this, I’ve met these two amazing girls who are pictured here. On the left is Avery, who owns Jeweled By Avery, and on the right is Clara, who owns Clothes Mentor Tyler.
I’ve gotten to see how God is working in their lives and businesses, and it is truly amazing. I’ve also met an incredible woman who has become a mentor to me not only in business, but in learning to trust God’s plan even when I can’t see what He’s doing. 🤍🤍🤍
Every month, we come together to encourage one another, pray for each other, and speak life into one another. And that has truly been one of the best things for me.
Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Our words hold so much power. We can use them to encourage, heal, build up, and remind someone that they are capable of more than they realize.
These women are people I genuinely look up to, and I’m so thankful God placed them in my life.
Because the truth is, owning a business is NOT easy. Putting yourself out there is NOT easy. Being different is NOT easy.
But through the power of Jesus, anything is possible. And when your eyes are fixed on Him, everything else starts to fall into place.
So if there’s one thing I hope you take away from this, it’s this:
Be intentional about who you surround yourself with. Find people who encourage you, challenge you, pray for you, and speak life into you.
Because who you surround yourself with truly matters. 💗
