We’re back! 👩‍🌾✨ We know it’s been a little quiet on our page since February, but we’ve been working hard behind the scenes on a major goal for Peep Life Farms.

We are officially NPIP Certified! 🎉🛡️

What does that mean for you? It means our flock has passed rigorous health testing, and we are now approved to sell:

We are so excited to help you start or grow your own coveys! Pricing and availability for birds will be coming soon, so stay tuned.

Ever wondered the secret to the perfect hard-boiled quail egg? 🥚✨

We know they’re small, but they are mighty (and oh-so-delicious)! Since their shells can be a little tougher than chicken eggs, we’ve found a foolproof way to get that perfect peel every time. 👩‍🌾💛

Swipe through to see our step-by-step ‘Peep Life’ method:

1️⃣ The Pre-Wash: Give your farm-fresh eggs a quick rinse under warm water. We only wash right before we cook to keep that natural bloom intact as long as possible! 🚿
2️⃣ Prep the Air Sac: Use the back of a spoon to gently tap the rounded end (the fat end!) of the egg until it cracks. This creates your "entry point."
3️⃣ The Rolling Boil: Drop them into already boiling water.
4️⃣ 3-Minute Timer: Set it and forget it (but only for 180 seconds!).
5️⃣ The Snow Shock: Since we’ve had so much snow in Martinsburg lately, we’re using nature’s freezer! ❄️ Shock them in an ice (or snow!) bath for 10 minutes.
6️⃣ The Peel: Start from that air sac end. The goal is to get right under the membrane so the shell slides off!

Pro Tip: This method makes them the perfect snack or addition to your meal-prep salads. 🥗

Oh, the weather outside is frightful... but the coop is so delightful! ❄️🏡

We got hit with some record snow here in WV, but don’t you worry—the Peep Life crew is doing just fine! 🐥❄️ Our girls are tucked in warm and cozy, they didn’t even try to venture out to see what all this white stuff was about. We even had a minor mishap with some hair and the girls’ heat lamp, but don’t worry all are well!

Chores don’t stop for the snow, but seeing these happy faces makes the extra shoveling worth it! Stay warm out there, neighbors! ☕️🧣
