2025: A Year of Growth, Grit & Good Food
This year, our local food community showed up in ways that brought us joy and filled our hearts. 💚 Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it! Check out some of the cool things that happened this season:

✨ White Sulphur Springs started a recipe-sharing group. It has been pure joy to see what you all are cooking, preserving, baking, and experimenting with has turned into one of our favorite weekly rituals.
✨ Our community donated $150 to our Pay It Forward Fund, and we matched it! This helped us fill special orders for several customers in need. Your generosity continues to remind us what “local food community” really means.
✨ One customer donated her entire order to Fergus Free Fridge. We thought it was such a great idea that we cleared most of our pantry inventory and sent 8 boxes total.
✨ THREE of our producers welcomed new babies. Congratulations to Abby from Montana RancHers , Veronakka from Swanky Roots, and Joe from Martinsdale Colony!
✨ We brought in new pickup locations along our expanded route, and forged new partnerships across the state. We’re also working with a group to launch the Montana Distribution Cooperative, an exciting collaboration aimed at strengthening local food distribution statewide.

And the big news: Our future CMFH facility design & concept phase is COMPLETE. We're one step closer to a permanent home for local food in Harlowton. 🎉 Stay tuned for new updates throughout the winter!

As sad as I am to not be farming this year (but more good news on that soon!), I am so excited to have veggie producer Chance Farm join the Central Montana Food Hub!

I hope you take advantage of this special CSA offer, it's absolutely going to be worth it!
I first met Josh Chance in 2020. I had just stabbed my foot with a broadfork which let to a series of events that included me managing to accidentally frost kill most my tomato starts. Josh had just planted all his tomatoes and generously gave me enough of his extra plants to fill our tunnel again. He has been a mentor and is incredibly passionate about what he does. I've watched him have to pack up his farm, take a few seasons off until the right farm land opportunity came and it's been a joy to see the farm take off and flourish.

Rolling into 2025 with a little snow on a little birdhouse 🏠 and a few farm updates!
1️⃣ ✨️ We have EGGS for sale. You can text or msg me your order and I'll get you in the list for the next time I am in WSS or Harlowton, usually weekly or you can pick up from us in Martinsdale. Sales will be not be through the while it is closed for winter.
2️⃣✨️ We are not moving anywhere 😁 We are hoping to find a farmer to come keep the garden growing while we focus on building the food hub but we aren't going ANYWHERE 😁
3️⃣✨️ We do not plan to farm full time this year. As many of you may be able to relate, I have too many important things to do and not enough time to do them and while I have continued to try and make it feel better by *working more efficiently*, I simply cannot continue the way I have been. Burnout is real and REAL uncomfortable. I am privileged to be fully in control of my own life, work, family, schedule but I realized that I am willingly giving away all of me, leaving not enough of me to cherish, honor, and love peacefully. I felt so much relief the moment I decided that even though I technically COULD continue going at the pace I was going, I am actively choosing not to because the reality is that I will break and then I am letting down not only my family and those that depend on me, but myself. I LOVE FARMING but in order to truly pursue my vision of making local food more accessible, I need to focus on a bigger picture right now. I don't know exactly what that means for all of you hoping for fresh Delpine Farms foods but we will continue to share as more decisions are made. I am also hopeful that within 3-5 years we will return to our farming activities 😉

We are excited to offer our farm for lease to the right farmer. Jeff and I will be putting our time towards the expansion of the and will not be able to properly farm for the next couple years. We would like to offer our market garden farm space located in Martinsdale Montana for a small lease fee, to the right experienced market gardener. 1+ acres includes 2 high tunnels, 1 greenhouse, 1 wash pack shed with bubbler/spinner for greens, cold storage, jang seeder, paperpot system, everything needed for a successful farm startup and a built in market outlet with the food hub. It's really important to us to see the farm continue to grow and produce for the community. To be clear, we are not looking for an apprentice or someone to train. This offer is for an experienced farmer, but we will absolutely help with as much local and specific knowledge as possible. There is no on-farm housing available, but we have some creative ideas to help you pursue.
