A little update..
This post is for situational explanation and not for sympathy so please don’t feel the need to comment but I would like to give everyone an update on where we’re at. Sunday on our way home from Montezuma we took one of my kiddos to the emergency room who decided to send him to Riley, he was then lifelined to Riley from Hendricks where he stayed for a few nights (we’re home now and he’s doing much better). There were, at that point, a couple of options, leave my van at the emergency room and go with him to Riley or take my van all the way home then go to him (aka one option because I will always choose my children) so I left my van. This means all product was left as well and is all thrown out which is a huge devastation because my end of season markets pays for next years investments as well as the rest of this years, so we not only had a slower second weekend but it also ended in throwing out everything we had brought with us. I don’t know what this means for the future of The Hen House, right now we’re focused on my son but moving forward every single purchase will mean the world to us. We will restock oils and magnesium sprays however lotions, facial serums and creams are probably done for this year. I will continue to stock breads and such at UM and the farm stand starting either Friday of this week or Tuesday of next week (we are home, however, this has been an emotional couple of days, there’s nothing quite as awful as being scared for your babies and I may need a few days to recover/spend uninterrupted time with them) I WILL update on FB within the next couple of days. Same with the market, I will update by Thursday if we plan to attend this weekend so stay tuned for updates and what’s ahead.
