Here is some great info on silkie nutrition needs! Keep in mind 20% or above is the recommended diet, but you can very easily mix their feeds together if you are set on henhouse!(thats what I do)

My keepers from my first two hatches this year. I have 2 chocolate mottled split showgirls, 1 blue mottled split showgirl, 1 mauve mottled split showgirl, and 1 black mottled showgirl.

I’m so excited to see how these little ones grow up!

I’ve finally found the mixture that will last more than one day! These 4 eggs are all from the same application of food coloring x coconut oil to the outside of the girls vents. Obviously it does loose it’s pigmentation, but I can still tell who’s it is!

My first hatch of the season and it is 100% Bearded naked necks! I also I have all 4 colors I am breeding in this one hatch! I am so happy with how my line is coming along. It’s been a long journey, but it sure is paying off. Seeing the improvement from generation to generation is why I am doing this.

Do to my mixup these 3 babies will be available soon! They are from a Chocolate mottled Frizzle stripper over black and chocolate mottled silkie hens.

All 3 have NN and are bearded. They also have all 5 toes and good placement. They have a possibility of being frizzled as well. I am waiting for them to start showing feather type and then they will be available!

I am making my first cull of the season and have decided to let this boy go. He is being DQed from my program due to his wing structure, the horns on his crest and his 5th toe lacking a toenail. He is pet quality due to these faults and will be sold with the expectation he will not be breed.
With that aside he is a very well tempered boy! He gets along greatly with other animals(as pictured) and loves to cuddle. He is still growing his crest, as he is only 7 months!
