What this last week has looked like, 24/7.
Meet Hops.
She came in last Friday in a beer box. A wonderfully sweet woman had found her at the end of her driveway.
This tiny, hissing, terrified little kitten had just awful wounds. So, to surgery we go.
She weighed 0.92 lbs.
This is the tiniest IV I’ve ever set! Got it first stick. Oh yeah!
We amputated the end of her tail due to degloving injuries. Her left rear leg was a mess. Laid open all the way around, midway down. She had enough tissue in the back to reconnect and have blood flow. The limb has not regained function.
There is zero action at her hip, and she’s full on kitten mode now. Action cat, with a floppy leg. So, we are planning to amputate in the future.
Needless to say, I have a foster. ♥️💔😭🐾
She is no longer a feral hissing, monster.
She’s full of p**s and vinegar! Everything is PLAY! Eat, then sleep. Then PLAY!

I’d just like to thank everyone that has bought birds from us. ♥️🦃🐣🦆🐓🦚
