Bird’s Nest Tea is my latest 6x6 inch paper creation. A few weeks ago at the SAQA IN mini retreat, artist Michele Po***ck of Lost Lake Studio, https://michelepollock.com/ showed how to professionally cover a wooden display block with mulberry paper. This technique might become addictive. So many possibilities.

Paper Wren Resting, 7"x10", is my submission for the SAQA Trunk Show.
Created with cotton canvas, acrylic paint, mulberry paper, embroidery thread, light molding paste and machine stitching. SAQA will use the small-scale art quilts to create several traveling collections designed to let groups experience contemporary fiber art up close.

Put a Bird on It is done and ready to take to the post office. It’s my SAQA donation quilt for the annual SAQA Benefit Auction. With lots of free motion quilting and embroidery stitching it’s finally finished before the registration deadline.
