When you don’t have time to bake anything, you can it I guess lol 😂 worked a 9 hour shift and in between helping Haley with customers I peeled 2 pecks of peaches 🍑 and made peach butter tonight and boy is it delicious 😋 I liked the pot clean lol 😂

Ok about 2 bushels of cucumbers 🥒 10 + hours later, shoulder back and feet are soar but 55 pints of bread and butter pickles and no wasted veggies 🥰 feeling good about myself ow it’s time to hit the hay 🛌 and start baking tomorrow lol 😂

Just an average day here on the homestead, made 4 batches of jam today, 2 batches of blueberry 🫐 and 2 of elderberry and then of coarse I had a heaping 8 quart basket of ripe and bruised peaches 🍑 so I made pie 🥧 and pie bars lol 😂 as well as played with the chickens 🐓 today and the babies lol 😂
Now I’m tired 🥱 and I’ll be working at the farm stand tomorrow

Just added 2 more flavors of jam to the list, blue raspberry ( made with black raspberries and blueberries so good) and gooseberry I’ve never had the chance to work with them and let me tell you this was a labor of love, first the bushes are covered in these long sharp thorns so my sister and I got cut up picking them, then I had to remove the top and bottoms from all the berries so it was a lot of work but the jam turned out this pretty bright pink and it’s is delicious a sweet and tart jam like currant 🥰😱
