Here’s your tip/trick for the week and I’m sure it’ll come in handy here during lambing season!

We’ve seen lots of post of ewes not accepting a lamb or ewes mixing/stealing lambs.

Everyone has had it happen a time or two. Head gates usually do the trick after a few days, but having to tie, hold or restrain ewes to let lambs nurse certainly gets old.

We had a cattle producer tell us a few years ago to sq**rt 1 cc/mL of oxytocin up each nostril. You should see ewes accept those lambs within 10 minutes and never bat an eye at those lambs again.

NATIONAL SHOW CONTEST/GIVEAWAY!!!

Breed classes have begun at the ADGA National Show (Oberhasli are the first day too!) So we're going to have a fun contest, complete with daily prizes and an end-of-week grand prize!

The contest is open to EVERYONE! Daily prizes must be picked up in-person at the National Show. If you are at home, fear not! The overall grand prize, given at the end of the week will be a $100 gift certificate to be used for an Ober-Boerd kid or semen purchase! ANYONE can win this, whether you are here in Grand Island or not!
