Sometimes the ponies don't notice me making my way to the barn and have to be called in for breakfast. Look at this handy dinner bell that was hung in the barn! 🤣🔔

I don't have any fancy kindling splitter, it's line 'em up and split with my ax! I just do a few at a time, my wood stove lights really efficiently.

All the chicks got some hands on time while moving from the mobile tractor to their permanent stationary coop & run (for winter). They were mostly chill about it. 🤣

Remember that chick that hatched at Day 18 of incubation? I named her "Primo"! She is out of the Silver Oak line and she is HUGE!

Ladybug says that dandelion look-a-likes make fantastic cat toys. She had already popped this one's head off (see to the right) but it was still worth playing with! 🤣

I hatched these eggs. Brooded the chicks. Set them in the tractor and loved it everyday, going in and out to refill food & water. But this Black Oak pullet? She be WILD. She runs around with her head down like a psycho feral thing. This was actually a less dramatic capture than I expected.

But right after this video she BIT ME. With real intention and malice. She better check herself and settle down. We eat chickens on this farm. 🤦
