Since that day we have continued to grow a small herd of 25 cows. Our herd started out with just a few Shorthorn cow, but now we have a few different breeds consisting of Shorthorn, Simmental, Maine Anjou, and Charolais cattle. Due to our small size we do not use mature bulls for breeding, therefore all of our breeding is done via artificial insemination (AI). When selecting matings our main goal

is to try and produce the next best show calf that will finish our to be a Grand Champion Steer or a quality donor cow. Bruce and Seth are both trained in AI and in June of 2014 Seth became certified to preform embryo transfer in cattle. So if you ever having any questions about how our animals are raised or need some help with breeding or flushing your cows please give use a call.
