Nice to have some good help around here!
Farm kids be different.
Proud of this dude doing full chores on birds and running the tractor around like an old farmer.
Now he's demanding we lift weights cause there's no football practice on Fridays.

He should teach get 'er done classes as a side hustle.

Hogstead has a few fat hogs that are ready for your freezer. Quick turnaround time on these. You can pick your meat up from the butcher in 2-3 weeks.
1/2 hogs are $6.75/lb hanging weight, all fees included.

Whole hog special right now is 10% off!!

That is an amazing price on local, heritage breed, pastured pork! Locally sourced barley & wheat feed. Non GMO/GE feed. Organic managed pasture. Hogs are Humanely raised in their herd groups free to roam. No stress. Fresh air and dirt to root in naturally.

Support local farmers! If you don't, the gross white pork with pharmaceutical residues is all you will have as an option!

100% solar powered farm.

Pm me to reserve your winter supply of soul and tummy filling pork.

Two foodbank drops in one day from the farm! We have worked with Arlington Food Bank for for years. Great people! Marysville food bank is a new partnership that will hopefully be a promising fresh farm food pathway to people in Marysville. Soul warming work!

Super proud of these dudes today! A few hours of straight work processing birds! Hands on, part of the team, and making food for our community. No excuses, no whining or complaining, just getting the job done today. I think more kids should experience this work that puts food on folks plate!

Hogstead has the the first meat birds of 2026 getting processed next week! These popular chickens are available for pick up June 18th - 21st.
You can pick up at the farm, or at our drop sites in Kirkland, Seattle, and at our farmers markets.
More information is available on the link to reserve your chickens.

This is the order for birds ready to go July 10th - 11th at the farm.  Harvest date is July 9th. These are whole, pasture-raised chickens. Organic pasture.  GMO-free and organic feeds.  Unlike store birds, these chickens are slow grown on pasture for a full extra month to develop more...

Huge thanks to everyone that came to the anniversary party on Saturday. Wow that was a big one! Apparently the food was a hit, as we sold out of everything early in the afternoon. And Hogstead brought an awfully large amount of food. Cheers to community, great food, fantastic b**r, good music, and wood smoke on a beauty day.
