Super proud of these dudes today! A few hours of straight work processing birds! Hands on, part of the team, and making food for our community. No excuses, no whining or complaining, just getting the job done today. I think more kids should experience this work that puts food on folks plate!

Hogstead has the the first meat birds of 2026 getting processed next week! These popular chickens are available for pick up June 18th - 21st.
You can pick up at the farm, or at our drop sites in Kirkland, Seattle, and at our farmers markets.

This is the order for birds ready to go July 10th - 11th at the farm.  Harvest date is July 9th. These are whole, pasture-raised chickens. Organic pasture.  GMO-free and organic feeds.  Unlike store birds, these chickens are slow grown on pasture for a full extra month to develop more...

Huge thanks to everyone that came to the anniversary party on Saturday. Wow that was a big one! Apparently the food was a hit, as we sold out of everything early in the afternoon. And Hogstead brought an awfully large amount of food. Cheers to community, great food, fantastic beer, good music, and wood smoke on a beauty day.

Hogstead just turned 15. Holy smokes it's been a gigantic adventure. So, we will go extra big May 30th in Seattle with our friends at Ravenna Brewing. Beers, hog, music. All party boxes checked!
