Mockingbird Meadows Grows a Soda Pharm

We started with a diagnosis and a passion for plants. Mockingbird Meadows farm started with three bee hives and a desire to have children. Author Dawn Combs (M.A. Ethnobotanists and certified herbalist) and her husband Carson (M.A. City Planning and Landscape Architecture) made a lot of changes in their lives after an infertility diagnosis that has led to a national line of products, two books with New Society Publishers and one on the way with Storey Publishers and a travel schedule that has Dawn speaking all over the country. Dawn is known for blending the two things that farm grows- honey and herbs. She writes for various magazines such as Heirloom Gardener, Mother Earth Living, Taproot, Hobby Farm and mores. All of the products the couple makes together are home tested, shared with customers and clients and shipped around the world. On the farm is a commercial kitchen where everything is made with a keen awareness that only good, clean products will help enrich the health of their customers.

Soda Pharm is the latest venture of this husband and wife team. After making beloved herbal products for fifteen years it was time to have a little fun. Both Dawn and Carson believe that health should be accessible to everyone... regardless of where they are in their health journey. No one should feel excluded or expected to change... no one should feel that health comes in a one-size fits all diet or supplement plan. The couple missed “bubbles” and the fun of soda. No one should have to give up the fun and joy of food... we just all need to give up on fake food. Believing strongly in the idea that food is your medicine, they have opened up a shop in their local community to share all the products of Mockingbird Meadows as well as the new ones from Soda Pharm. In the shop you will find a shelves full of fresh and dried useful herbs, a wealth of knowledge rather than a “this for that” herbal mentality, real food based beneficial sodas, hot and cold teas and more! With a full line of classes, free WI-FI, a kids area and a quiet place to sit and have a conversation, the shop hopes to become a valuable member of the community.
