Harvesting reishi is always fun, but its even more rewarding when it's a variety located close to you. Hence, the "Alcoa Reishi". This buddy was found near our local greenbelt trail growing out of soil next to a dead stump, supposedly decomposing the roots.

Growing fungi from spore or culture is fun, but going on a walk with the pups only to unexpectedly run into a favorite species of mine, cloning it successfully, then growing it out has been one of the most joyous experiences in this field thus far. Gotta catch em all! 🍄❤️🍄❤️

Great way to grow Lion's Mane at home without a fruiting chamber. I let this block sit for a little over a month, and it was over 2.5lbs!! This one is crab cakes for tonight, but I might use this technique for tinctures to save on fruiting space.

Yes, I put the mushroom crown on my head, but I do not proclaim myself king. I promise I don't do this often😅

The "Misty Mountain" pizza starts with a locally grown basil pesto base topped with mozzarella stracciatella, Misty Mountain mushrooms, Calabrian chili's, confit garlic, and preserved lemon.
