On Tuesday, October 20, more than 1,500 eighth graders from Blount County Schools, Maryville City Schools, Alcoa City Schools and local private schools will meet business leaders and employers, try brief hands-on activities and start picturing the careers waiting for them right here at home.

Students will explore finance, information technology, computer science, architecture, construction, HVAC, manufacturing, government, law, health science, food science, culinary arts, education and more. Soft skills sessions will also coach them on handshakes, interview etiquette, dressing for success and quick pitches.
