Tristan is managing summer grazing of the Johnson grass. Hard to imagine a better forage-high energy and the cows love it.. Cow herd is grazing it off and leaving the fescue, about 2 acres per day, setting us up for growing the winter stockpile.

June is already halfway over, time sure feels like it’s flying when you’re having fun. The 26’ calf crop are growing well and things are feeling good, we are thankful to be doing what we love. Hope everyone else is extremely well, we hope to see everyone in KY, this September, at the Annual South Poll field day, should be a spectacular event!

First day of spring, and there’s no better way to welcome it than with our spring calving herd out on fresh pasture. 🌱

This season always brings new life, fresh grass, and a reminder of why we do what we do. Watching these mama cows and calves thrive on pasture is what regenerative farming is all about—healthy animals, healthy soil, and healthy land for generations to come.
