Hello all! Sorry about the absence, life happened, but we are back at it and here all day today and tomorrow! We have a ton of ripened tomatoes, shish*to peppers, spicy ghost 👻 chili and jalapeños. The cooler nights have worked wonders on our kale as well as our mouse melons. We have a great selection of mints, basil and lemon thyme as well. Come see what’s growing on at Phoenix Valley Farm! Cucamelon! Also known as mouse melon or Mexican sour gherkin, is a citrusy/sour tasting cucumber that is usually harvested around 1 inch in diameter. They have the appearance of a super small adorable watermelon. They can be eaten raw in salads or with a little salt, pickled or used in a quick sauté like a stir fry. You could also cut them in half and try some of our orange citrus mint and make a epic summer time beverage to battle this heat wave!
