Here we grow, again! And we need YOUR help!
We have recently partnered with a custom marketing company to promote and grow the retail side of our operations. This will give us a website, linking to a store, where you can browse, shop, and order products directly from our farm to your doorstep! In the future, there will be subscriptions, sales, events, and lots more.
If you would be so kind as to drop your email in the comments (or DM me if you’d prefer!) we would love to keep you in the know via newsletter on all of the exciting growth here at Perseverance Acres! Thank you ALL for supporting us and always believing in us! God is SO good! 🤍

Greenhouse helpers!

“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

It’s amazing what lessons the garden holds! We are thankful Josh had the foresight to see this idea (my crazy unthought out desire) from start to finish and now maintenance.

Lord willing we will have some garden goodies in to the colder weather! We are going to try it!💗

Currently we have peppers, onions, tomatoes, Swiss chard, asparagus, lemon cucumbers, potatoes, peas, lettuce, radish, and some random flowers!

⬇️⬇️⬇️Tell me your greenhouse wins and troubles below! I’d like to know if we can adjust anything we are doing so it can be better! 💗

May we all be: always learning!

Our first time momma, sincerely named Sass, had delivered 2 piglets Saturday evening. I came home after work- one, a gilt, had already died. The other a boy seems to be doing well! He will make a good PET for someone. This is a first litter for this boar and her. The piglet does have a disformed ear on the right side, but he is cute and has been doing all the baby piglet things! Needless to say we will not be making this pair again🤷🏼‍♀️

PM us if you are interested in this cutie as a pet 😁

Somehow this gal got wire wrapped around her leg. Last evening we got it off! She was not injured by the wire which we are grateful for AND no one was injured during its removal, which we were grateful for!

It was a sweaty but productive event. We also got the 2 older calves separated from their mommas for weaning… none of them are happy about it today, but they’ll be fine.

As each next thing comes up- we must keep taking the next step. As we do, we want to glorify God.

Let all that you do be done in love.

Our garden so far this season!

🥔We have been blessed with a good potatoe harvest this year! This is a first for us. Such a surprise to dig and see more than 2 small potatoes in the ground! We are slowly digging as we need them. The heat got to a couple so far, but we will continue with this method for now.

🧅The onions also did better than ever before!

🧄The garlic, however, was small. I want to plant at the right time this year and I think that will help for next year’s harvest😉

Our zucchini are now all finished due to some invaders. There are a couple yellow squash hanging on for now.

🍅Our tomatoes are really just getting ripe at a number more than we can just eat right away. The tomatoe plants Abby Warden gave us are really full and full of fruit! I think I’ll be canning in the next week or so!

🌶️Our peppers are hit and miss. The pepper plants Linda Poe gave us are in the greenhouse- they have peppers but haven’t changed colors yet, so hopefully it won’t be long!

Our green beans really need picked- they may be past the point of return even, but they gave us about 5 good meals. I am still learning how to cook them so everyone likes them… if you have any good recipes or techniques I would enjoy them ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ leave them in comments or pm me 💗 JoshandStephanie Pontious

🍉Our watermelon are growing well. They are not ready yet. Jedidiah picked one yesterday so we cut into it, and yep confirmation- not ready 🥴🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe next time Jedidiah after some more time has passed 💗

🍓Our strawberries are still producing many berries! Our freezer has a few batches for the winter, and we have enjoyed a few batches over cake this summer so far.

Praise the Lord for our bountiful harvest so far. This morning it is raining a bit here, and that will help all the plants still growing to do even better! Thank you God for the rain!

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭8:22‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All glory and honor and praise goes to God- the Author and Sustainer of life.
