We have what we call our chunky monkey ewe lamb up for lease or more if you want her that badly…. She’s my favorite kind to breed and we have a lot of fun hitting the ring with her type… you need a treadmill and some sculpt and you really can bring out her full potential! She’s a registered Southdown Ewe lamb, has papers and was born in March her sire is a yearling ram we used for the first time last year and absolutely love him… he was champion ram at the west Texas state fair last fall and unfortunately in December got a spinal injury that ended his show career but not his breeding career and we do think he’s the best one we’ve ever raised! We are located in mason tx! Let me know if you want to come look at this gal!

Our last 2 lease ewes!! I’ll be honest these 2 have been hard to part with and obviously why they are still in the keep pen… but someone should at least show them!! The first little ewe lamb is a half sibling to our keeper Ram Dallas who has won nearly every Southdown Ram show in the state….. and the cute little chubby ewe lamb is fun and will be a great traditional style ewe that can hit the treadmill and turn some heads with her shape and mass!!
We would love to see them shown! Let us know if you need a lease!

We’ve got some registered Southdown lease ewe lambs that will make some great show prospects! This is the most ewe lambs we have ever kept which means they are the best crop we’ve ever had…. They are all March or April born and will be great for winter and spring county shows or breeding shows!

Ps…. Don’t mind the mud… I promise they will clean up nice (thank you Lord for the rain, not so much for the mud lol)

Well all the ewes and lambs got sheared today! Thank God for a sheep shearer 🙏🏻 we also sold our first lamb of the season… God is so good and we are so thankful for this life…. And of course once you get all dirty and wooly…. You gotta have a little fun! Come see us if you want some good sheep at an affordable price!

Most of the time we get lucky because we lamb so much later and miss the winter window but still the combination of spring storms, random cold fronts, and crap moms can still hit just right. If anyone needs the reminder the best thing for a chilled wet lamb is a blow dryer… normally we have a box we can stick the lamb and the blow dryer in and it works in minutes! It’s the fastest way to get one dry and warm. Here Ive got her on a heating blanket, wrapped in a towel and letting the blow dryer do its thing on the lowest setting right before cool so it doesn’t get too hot. I check her temp by sticking my thumb in her mouth and once her mouth gets warm we will offer a warm bottle.
If you have livestock it will always be something…. Funny thing about this little lambs mom is she was chalked to go to the sale barn last fall because… have I mentioned she’s a crap mom…… but she broke her leg the day before they were supposed to go so i said alright God show me what I’m missing and we casted it and ended up turning her out with the rams instead. Now she’s got a little ram lamb and this little ewe lamb…… I can’t wait to see what God has in store…. Probably another bottle baby but he sure does work in mysterious ways!!
This baby girl is also a half sibling to Keagan’s 2 tooth ewe she showed and won some classes with this year….. God always has a plan.

When it’s time to come pick your Southdown you can bet the little boss has already put some work in 😉
