Ironclad Cattle

Ironclad Cattle Raising Ironclad genetics one Hereford at a time. Ironclad Cattle was officially started in September 2016 by Samantha and Gary Ford.

However, Samantha has been working to grow and refine the genetics of the herd since 2005. Samantha has been working cattle since a small child growing up on a dairy farm. In 2000 her family got out of the dairy business and she felt lost without her cattle. She started showing show steers at her local Fair and asked her father to partner with her and started a small beef herd. She found through s

howing cattle that she loved the Hereford breed. They are a truly docile breed that are very easy to work and show. She decided to then specialize in Registered Herefords. The first cattle were bought through a small loan with her father as the cosigner. Through those first 4 cattle she grew her herd to now 20 registered cows and 10 cross bred and commercial cows. Currently Samantha and her husband Gary are working hard to bring some of the best Genetics in Hereford breeding to their herd and to you! They are a small operation and while they have great cows they are always adding quality heifers and brood cows to their growing herd. We like to think of it as old school meets new to keep up with the demands of today's market.
