Dear Customers, Farmers, Vendors, and Friends,

First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your business, trust, and friendship over the many years.

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, Eckenberg Farms, Inc. has made the decision not to run production for the 2026 season. We are in the process of significantly reducing operations as we move forward with an orderly wind-down of the company and the sale of its business and assets.

This has been an extremely difficult decision. Eckenberg Farms, Inc. has proudly operated for 63 years, made possible by the dedication and hard work of our employees, many of whom have given decades of service. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and the role they have played in building this company. This decision was made with great care and respect for the people who have been such an important part of our story.

We are fortunate to be making this decision from a position of stability. This is not the result of financial distress or external pressure, but rather a deliberate decision by the owners to exit the export business.

Andrea and I will continue operating our own farms (approximately 450 acres), and Jim and Janet are now the sole owners of JB Farms LLC, representing the farming division (approximately 5,000 acres). We would welcome the opportunity to explore ways we may continue working together in the future, including supplying products to meet your needs.

Ending a 63-year chapter is never easy. With that said, we believe this is the most appropriate and responsible path forward, recognizing that change is sometimes necessary as circumstances evolve.

Thank you again for your trust, support, and friendship throughout the years. We are sincerely grateful for the relationships we have built and wish you all the very best moving forward.

Sincerely,

Robert Eckenberg
President
Eckenberg Farms, Inc.

Thank you to all the Farmers.

Hard to believe, but less than 2% of Americans grow the food, fuel, and fiber we all depend on.

Here in Missouri, agriculture is a $93.7 BILLION industry supporting nearly 460,000 jobs. During Thank a Farmer Week, we’re recognizing the men and women who keep America fed and strong.

To every farmer in MO-04 — THANK YOU! 🌾🇺🇸💪

Private-sector weather firms in Japan have released their latest forecasts for when the buds on cherry trees in the country will start to open this spring. They say the Somei Yoshino variety will come into bloom earlier than usual in many areas.

Hello everyone,

I got told last night at dinner out. EFI had sold. We have not gotten any check yet, so if you know who purchased EFI please let me know. If it clears, I will let you know… We have been sold five times but still waiting on the check. I had RETIRED. Ha, ha. If I had, why am I at work all day? I would like to be a farmer on my land. Retirement is a key part of everyone's life plan. To set the rumors straight.

EFI is still owned by the same owners and is still in business. Sound and moving forward with 2026. But, if you have read the news, it’s a very difficult time in the Hay world of Agriculture. We are very cautious.

THE BIG CHANGES. The owners of JB Farms(Eckenberg Family) have changed as of 2026. My wife and I are no longer partners in this business. Jim and Janet will be running this, looking forward to 2026 and more years of farming. We, the owners of DET, have sold most equipment. Still, some are available. No plans on going trucking again. YOU HAVE TO PICK your battles right now. WA State is not friendly to citizens or businesses. What did you pay at the pump?
