Tomorrow, Sunday, May 31st is the LAST DAY for our Apple BOGO Deal. Sunday hours are 10am until 5pm.

Mix and Match between Evercrisp and Honeycrisp. Keep them for yourself (in the refrigerator) or gift them to a neighbor, friend, or teacher. Take advantage of the deal and share the joy of Michigan apples.

While you're here, you can also grab a supply of already-picked strawberries and asparagus. It's the trifecta of flavor.

Plans for tomorrow....come to the farm and get your supply of Michigan asparagus and strawberries, of course!

Here are a few helpful hints to help make that endeavor more successful:

-Strawberries are picked first thing in the morning and arrive at the farm between 9:30-10. We won't have berries before then.

-We can sell out towards the end of the day.

-We are still on a first-come, first-served basis, but you can call ahead to get a current strawberry report before you make a trip out to the farm at 269-668-3724.

-Strawberry season is just starting out, and we will have a better supply as the season goes on - we hope to open online ordering next week, which allows you to preorder the night before and pick up at your convenience the next day.

-Strawberry season will go for several weeks, so there's no need to rush - we will be able to help you with all of your fun and delicious strawberry projects.

We love the flavor of a true Michigan strawberry and they are worth all the hype. We thank you for supporting our farm and shopping local.

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!

We have a special treat available today - the 1st strawberries of the season!!! We're super excited to get the season started, days ahead of when we anticipated them.

They are currently available by the quart only - 6.00 each. Preorderng online and flats of strawberries will become available in a few days when we have a better supply. Meanwhile, come on out the farm and grab a quart or two to enjoy this evening with the family.

Helping you plan ahead - if you want asparagus to grill on Monday, you'll need to come and see us on Sunday from 10 to 5. We will be closed on Memorial Day for the holiday.

Please enjoy the day safely. We thank all members of our armed forces, and especially those who passed in the line of duty, which is why we have Memorial Day in the first place!

Michigan Asparagus is a group that supports Michigan growers through education and marketing for this first vegetable of the season. Did you know that Michigan ranks #1 in the nation in asparagus production? Our state produces 20-29 million pounds annually!!!

Every time you eat locally grown and produced food, you're supporting your local community, and we thank you for that!

Last week, we were delighted to attend Paw Paw Elementary School's Farmer for a Day.

This was a chance to interact with students about how things are grown on the farm, the important role that farming plays in our great state of Michigan, and lots of other farm fun facts. They, of course, had to visit with the BIG red apple too.

A huge thanks to Van Buren County Farm Bureau for coordinating this event and to our very own Kendyll, who represented our farm with all of the youngins. It takes a village!

We hope the kids all went home that day and told their families about all the cool things they got to see and do at school. After all, it's not every day that there is a tractor and farm animals in the parking lot!

There are THREE OPPORTUNITIES of DELICIOUSNESS expected this weekend....

ASPARAGUS - tasty, fresh, and ready to feed your family.

APPLES - Honeycrisp and Evercrisp available. Firm, sweet, and juicy. Kept in cold storage from our crop last year so that we can have local apples year-round.

FRY PIES - from Station 66 will be available AFTER 10am at the farm. Extras have been ordered, but don't delay - they never last long because they really are that good. Strawberry, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Strawberry/rhubarb are available while supplies last.

If you've placed a fry pie order online, please come anytime between 10 and 6 to pick it up. If it is just fry pies, it will be with the cashiers at the register. If you ordered fry pies AND other items, they will be on the "customer order" shelves over by the apples.

Don't forget that we will also be at the Texas Township Farmers Market from 8am - noon tomorrow with asparagus, apples, and more.

We're looking forward to helping feed your family locally this weekend.

Only TWO DAYS left to preorder your strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, and strawberry/rhubarb fry pies for pick-up this Saturday, May 16th, after 10am.

Two ways to see us this weekend and stock up on fresh, local fruits and vegetables.
-
#1 - At the Texas Township Farmers Market this Saturday for the first Farmers Market of the season. The market runs from 8am to 12pm. Our very own Farmer Bill and Mother Denise will be there with big smiles and happy hearts. Come and enjoy all the community vibes.

We will be bringing asparagus by the pound, Honeycrisp and Evercrisp apples, frozen apple cider, and some rhubarb. It's a great way to kick off the Farmers Market season.

#2 - You can also find us at the farm 9-6 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday (we are closed on Mondays in May). At the farm, we offer bulk discounts on asparagus at 5, 10, and 25-pounds, plus all of our other delicious food items.

We hope to see you one way or the other. Feed yourself and your family well this weekend (and every day).
