Here is a link to the LatterDaySaints Food Storage calculator. Just put in the amount of people in your family and it tells you what you need to store to feed them. Very good information! Consider that corn prices will skyrocket soon due to the drought. Everything at the store is made from a corn product practically. So food prices are going to rise faster. Put some food items back now to help ride out the coming price hike and pray for more rain next year.

The blackberry cordial was waaaayyyy to sweet. So now I have strawberries brewing in vodka was only a fraction of the sugar. Will crack that open this weekend. Can't wait.

Here is the recipe I used for the cordial. I used some wonderful blackberries that we picked at a hermits house surrounded by snakes and devil dogs.

This is an easy way to make cordial and it's good for gifts! Other berries such as raspberries, strawberries or blueberries may be used in place of blackberries, and rum or brandy may be used in place of the vodka.
